About Matt

Work

After two years at small boutique law firms in Salem and Bend, I started my private practice in December 2009.  Since forming my own legal practice, I have represented clients in various areas of law including Family Law, Child Support Modification, Civil Litigation, Personal Injury, Elder Abuse, Criminal Defense, Corporation and LLC Formation, Business Litigation, Wills, Contracts and Business Transactions.

Life

I am a semi-native Oregonian having been born in San Diego, CA. I do not remember San Diego, but love the Pacific Northwest. I grew up in Portland attending the Catlin Gabel School in SW Portland. From there, I moved across the country and attended Trinity College in Hartford, CT,  graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry. In 2001, I graduated with a PH.D. in analytical chemistry from the University of Florida in Gainesville.  I love science and it continues to be an important analytical tool in my life.  In 2006,  I graduated from  Lewis and Clark Law School in Portland.

Fun

Matt loves fishing, whitewater rafting, and hiking and thinks the Pacific Northwest is the perfect place to do all three.
